Dollywood!

In the afternoon of Saturday, May 14, the four of us along with my parents headed out of town for a quick getaway to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg/Knoxville. When we arrived in Knoxville, we headed straight to the Four Points Sheraton to check in. Parker loves staying here. Its next to the World's Fair Park and Parker loves the "Gold Disco Ball" that stands in the middle of the Park! I think we have a new fan of the hotel with Easton. He LOVED running up and down the halls in the hotel corridors and the mirrrored elevator walls! He couldn't believe how many Easton's he was seeing at one time!

We headed out for dinner at PF Changs! Yummo! This is a family favorite of ours. Easton and Parker both ate until they about popped! Well---we all ate until we about popped! After dinner we headed back to the hotel. Parker and I made a stop at the hotel restaurant/bar for Easton some milk. The bartender asked Parker if he'd like some chocolate milk to take back the room - he mixed his milk in a shaker like they use for mixed drinks --- parker was very impressed...and I was even more impressed when the bartender told us both milks was on the house!

Next morning, before we headed out for a day at dollywood - Papaw and Nana let Parker order room service. He had never had room service before - and he was so excited...he ordered a waffle, eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and toast! We all kinds partook of his goodies -- and they were quite delicious! We arrived at the Old Mill to board the trolley and spent the next several hours eating popcorn, kettle corn, cades cove bbq, chili-cheese fries, huge turkey legs, a bologna sandwich that would feed at least 4, hot and fresh cinnamon bread and chocolate chips cookies, playing basketball games (where parker won himself a basketball), bumper cars and rides - especially easton's first rides--the piggy parade, the old cars and the ducks! We had so much fun and ended the evening with dinner at cracker barrel and a trip back to good ol' wise county!

No hotel stay is complete without a ride on the luggage cart
