So, what do you do on a Saturday night when you have an out of town guest come visit? Well, if you want to experience the time of your life and more excitment than you can hardly stand - then come visit Wise, Virginia! We had the lovely Santana Vasquez come spend the evening with us on Saturday. Santana is my cousin Tyler's girlfriend. Tyler and Santana live in Fairfax however Santana's family lives in Richlands, Virginia which is about an hour from us. She came home for a long weekend and we were so excited that she wanted to spend time hanging out with us. I must say...I believe we showed her the time of her life....hehe!

We took her all the way to Appalachia, Virginia or for those people around these "parts" who say so annoyingly "appylatchee" to see our sweet Kaely play in the LPD Girls Basketball District Championship. On the way there the conversation consisted of us talking about the new radio dj at our local radio station. Mr. Richard Quillen himself. Richard is a local icon. He was on another radio station in Bristol for over 20 years. He has this Saturday night request show that we have listened to (and even called in a couple of times to request a song or two) for as long as i can remember. Santana had never heard of Richard - so we decided to break her in right and call up ol' Richard and request a song for her! I did the honors of calling and telling Richard who we had riding along with us and where we were going and that we wanted to hear a song for her....in the words of good ol' Richard....this is for you Santana!

The Star of the night was none other than Ms. Kaely Mullins. Kaely is Nancy's son, Blake's girlfriend. She is a senior basketball player (star) for JJ Kelly. That night JJ Kelly won the Lonesome Pine District Tournament and Kaely was awarded the MVP of the tournament! We were so proud of her!

After the game, we said our good bye's to Santana and she made the trip back to Richlands to finish off her long weekend back home! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon Santana! Looking forward to visiting you and Ty too...one day...
