eight

easton michael collins
may 5, 2010
8lbs 4 oz. and 20 and a half inches long

eight months. can you believe eight months have passed since we brought home our littlest man. our little cinco de mayo baby! i never thought how wonderful the life of a mommy of two boys would be nor how easy it really is! of course, parker is such a great helper boy! he loves and adores his little brother and is so protective of him. i remember the days and even weeks after we brought easton home how protective parker was of easton. family and friends would see us out and about and would come up to sneak a peek of easton and would automatiacally say to parker...."i'm gonna take that baby home with me!". he would get so upset and begin to stand almost over top of easton in the stroller. he would pull the shade on his carrier and the shade on his stroller where it would cover easton up. and he would say "oh no you are not!"
after one encounter, i could tell he was upset and he looked at me and said "momma, easton is OUR baby! we waited a long time for him to get here and he is not going home with anybody but us! i felt so bad for parker that he was getting so upset and worried that someone may take his baby away from him.

easton less than 10 minutes old
now at eight months old, easton is has 2 teeth and crawling EVERYWHERE! you cannot take your eyes off of him for a split second! he is pulling up to everything to stand up and wants to bad to walk! but i am not ready for that just yet. its going by so fast as it is and when he starts walking it means he really isn't a baby anymore. parker did so many things so early that he never really seemed like a baby and was walking by 9 months and i just wanna hold on to this phase in easton's life and try to keep him little as long as i can since he is my last baby.

my wonderful husband letting parker hold his little brother for the first time!

i am just so blessed that the Lord gave these wonderful boys to michael and i. my heart is full of joy each time i see those sweet smiles and those blue eyes from both of my boys!
