well, after well over a week without internet i am back into the world of blogging. we have comcast as our internet provider and our modem went out. we have had horrible weather...it seems like it has snowed almost every single day since thanksgiving. no joke. we have been snowed in for days at a time. parker didn't attend school one day last week due to the weather. his school was closed for some of those days and snow schedules for other days, however, where we live the road was pretty bad and i didn't want to risk getting the boys out just for parker to attend school for a half day.
once i was able to get out and take parker to school, i headed to comcast to once again return my modem and guess what!!!! they were closed! yep! closed for martin luther king, jr holiday! i couldn't believe it. so, one more day passed before i was able to get back to comcast to exchange the modems and now, i am back online...hopefully it will last this time.
during all this snow parker got to experience his first time sleigh riding. it was saturday january 8, 2011 and we headed to my aunt and uncles for breakfast to celebrate my uncle's birthday. they have a pretty good size hill behind their house and parker go to go out and sleigh ride. he enjoyed it. he didn't get to stay out for long due to the frigid temps. but he really enjoyed it and i got to enjoy hearing him laugh in delight as he went down the hill and each time he laughed going back up the hill slipping and sliding. pictures are coming soon.
